Wife accuses Huby for stealing food

 

Getrude Tonhori who resides at number 63 Kingmine in Masvingo accused her husband known as Prazen Tonhori for stealing food from the kitchen to give his girlfriend Lydia Mapfumo.

 

Speaking before the magistrate Francis Mapfumo at Mashava court of justice the complainant revealed that her husband is a pensioner ,but he is not responsible for the family saying that she struggles alone to get money to buy food which Prazen takes to a girlfriend's place.

 

'My husband is not responsible for the family l struggle alone to get money to buy food which he takes to Lydia's place ,after all he is a pensioner' she said.

 

In endeavour to defend himself from the allegations Prazen told the court of justice that he was threatened to be poisoned by his wife if he continues to eat the food that she prepares.

.

The accused also said that he wanted to relieve from stress because his wife is talkative.

."I take food to a girlfriend because my wife threatened to poison me if l continue eating the food she gives me,also l wanted to relieve myself from stress because my wife talks a lot' he said.

 

Prazen was charged  $59  under the Spousal Maintenance Act, accompanied by a peace order.

The magistrate said, Prazen should take care of his wife because the marriage is not cancelled by the court.
