at Mbare Musika as married woman stripes prostitute

Business came to a
stand still at ever busy Mbare Musika when an enraged married woman bashed and
stripped naked an alleged rival suitor whom she accused of bedding her husband.
The incident which can
be aptly described as a nude wrestling show forced parents to cover the faces
of children with their palms as the event that unfolded before them were not
fit for minors.
Police confirmed the
case which happened last Tuesday.
The assailant
Kudakwashe Gomo (not real name) has since been fined $10 for indecently
assaulting Rumbidzai Madzime who was only left with torn undergarments.
In an interview with Madzime
(not real name), was at loss of words to explain the beatings she encountered
at the hands of Gomo and seven others.
“They were eight of
them when they approached me when l was selling my clothes. They beat me up,
stripped me naked and left me in tattered under garments” she said.
When asked if she had
snatched Gomo’s husband and bed him, Rumbidzai denied ever bedding him saying
her relationship to Gomo’s husband was a business one without any strings
attached.
“I am not in love with
her husband. I only came to know him when he sold some shoes to me on
credit.Eversince l paid those shoes l never saw him again” she added.
Gomo repeatedly
accusing Madzime of being in love with the father of her children despite the
explanations she had given.
“I discovered the
affair in January, but l kept quiet. I could not confront her because l did not
have enough evidence. However the truth came out when one of her best friends
told me everything” said Gomo.
Gomo refused beating
Madzime saying she only stripe her naked because a prostitute should not be beaten,
but should put to shame.
‘’I did not beat her.
Why should I beat her? , a prostitute should be striped naked to put to shame.”
She boasted.
Harare spokes person
Inspector James Sabau said Gomo and two of her accomplices who partook I
stripping Madzime have since paid $10 admission of guilty fines.
He urged members of the
public to desist using violent means to settle conflicts.
